Din Tai Fung is a Chinese restaurant specializing in Xiao Long Bao, or soup dumplings. Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10:30 am–9:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. This was our first time visiting Din Tai Fung, and it exceeded our expectations! The spicy chicken wontons were juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The chicken bao was the standout dish—soft, fluffy, incredibly juicy, and absolutely delicious. We also loved the vegan dumplings and noodles with spicy sauce, which were packed with flavor. To finish, we tried the chocolate mochi, and it was a delicious treat. Overall, we had a fantastic first experience at Din Tai Fung. The food was outstanding, the quality was excellent, and we can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Highly recommended!

★★★★☆ 4/5 Had a very enjoyable meal at Din Tai Fung with a good mix of dumplings, wontons, vegetables, noodles, and dessert. The standout dish was the Chicken Spicy Wonton — flavorful, well-balanced, and easily a 5/5. The broccoli with garlic was also excellent, perfectly cooked and very satisfying. The chocolate and mochi Xiao Long Bao were a great way to finish the meal and definitely worth trying. Individual ratings: • Matcha Jasmine Latte — 4/5 Refreshing, aromatic, and not overly sweet. • Chicken Dumplings — 3.5/5 Good overall, but not as memorable as some of the other dishes. • Chicken Spicy Wonton — 5/5 The best savory dish of the meal. Flavorful, slightly spicy, and very addictive. • Fried Wonton Chicken Noodles — 3/5 Decent, but felt heavier and less exciting compared with the dumplings and wontons. • String Beans with Garlic — 4/5 Well-cooked, flavorful, and a good vegetable option to share. • Broccoli with Garlic — 5/5 Simple but excellent. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and had plenty of garlic flavor. • Chocolate and Mochi Xiao Long Bao — 4/5 A delicious and unique dessert. Rich chocolate with a chewy mochi texture inside the dumpling. My wife seems to lov

Din Tai Fung never disappoints. I wasn’t surprised that everything was amazing because they’ve always been so consistent. We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I’m attaching photos because there were too many good dishes to pick just one! The jasmine tea with milk foam was one of my favorites, so refreshing and the perfect drink to go with the meal. On top of the great food, the service was excellent. The servers were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole dining experience even better. If you’re looking for a place with a huge variety of delicious dishes where it’s hard to order something bad, Din Tai Fung is always a great choice.

Worth the wait:). Reservation or adding your name to the list can be done if you are within 5 miles of the restaurant. We got there and were 100+ behind on a weekday, so plan ahead along with your shopping trip. These guys have figured out how to manage delicious food at scale. Place works like clockwork and you’re ready to eat by the time you are seated. Absolutely must have is the soup dumplings, they are delicious. We enjoyed all types of dumplings, like the chili wontons and soup wontons. Both noodles we tried were delicious and our server was very nice and on time. Highly recommend!

Transcendental food! Soup dumplings are their specialty, but other options like their famous green beans and noodles are just as good. Please don’t skip out on dessert, as the chocolate xiao long bao are one of the best things I’ve ever tried in my life. Service is fast and ordering goes quickly since you get to fill out exactly what you want. I highly recommend making reservations or showing up at opening. They get busy very quickly.
